These cars were often used by Royalty, Heads of State and Mayors to provide an open top journey on public occasions. The rear convertible section can be raised or lowered in seconds and so provides excellent 'open top' photographic opportunities without the need to necessarily keep the top down for the whole journey.

other respects, the vehicle is identical to the standard Daimler DS420
limousines with seating for up to 7 passengers in comfort. The interior has been retrimmed in luxurious ivory leather and blue Wilton carpet. This provides a light and airy feel to the passenger compartment. |
